We understand that paying for specialized installers to install your Murphy bed can be expensive. That’s why Old Creek’s design team created a fold away bed that is so easy to install, most anyone can do it on their own!
To guide you through the process, we have created specific instruction manuals for the different mechanisms used in our Murphy beds. For example, the beds that use a piston mechanism use the instruction manual in the Piston Mechanism Murphy Beds section. Murphy beds that use a spring mechanism, such as the Noir, will use the manual in the Spring Mechanism Murphy Beds section.
All the necessary hardware you will need to assemble your folding bed, along with detailed assembly instructions, are included. In addition to the hardware provided, the only other thing you will need for assembly is a screwdriver.
Mounting your folding bed to the wall is easier than many people imagine. In fact, in many aspects, it is easier than installing a ceiling fan! All you will need is a drill and a ladder.
The first step is to find three studs along the wall in which you plan on mounting the bed. This can be done with or without a stud finder. Once you have located studs, screw your folding bed into the studs using the three screws provided. Pull on your bed… if it doesn’t budge, you’re done!
