Our Murphy Beds feature a state-of-the-art piston lift mechanism with few moving parts. This patented system is preferred for use in Hyatts, Hiltons, studio apartments and homes nationwide.

Other Murphy Bed manufacturers rely on bulky, outdated spring mechanisms consisting of many complicated moving parts. Their designs aren't meant for daily use and won't lift standard bedding.

Our Murphy Beds are not mounted to the floor. Our piston mechanism attaches to the wall with three screws.

Other Murphy Bed manufacturers sell beds that must be floor mounted. Many times this requires carpet to be cut away, leaving your floor permanently damaged.

Our Murphy Bed mechanism is completely contained within the cabinet and requires absolutely no adjustments!

Other Murphy Bed manufacturers use metal frame, springs and cabinetry that are shipped separately. Their mechanism must be bolted to the floor, then cabinetry must be assembled and shimmed into position around the mechanism.

Our locking mechanism prevents your Murphy Bed from being lowered incorrectly and locks bed inside the cabinet when not in use.

Many other Murphy Bed manufacturers do not use locking mechanisms of any kind.

Our piston lift mechanism is counter balanced and designed for daily use. It essentially functions so that "it doesn't know it's working" and is not subject to metal fatigue or catastrophic failure.

Other convertible beds use spring mechanisms which expand and contract and fatigue with age, causing your Murphy Bed to sag out of the cabinet. Springs are expensive and difficult to replace and if a spring breaks the results are dangerous.

Our air pistons are self adjusting.

Other Murphy Bed manufacturers spring mechanisms require constant adjustment.

Our air piston’s unique locking leg has been designed to support beds at standard bed height and has been stress-tested to 6000 psi with a factor of 2.

The fixed leg/handles of other manufacturers place beds just 2 1/2"off the floor.

Our Murphy Beds can be used with any standard innerspring mattress up to 12 inches thick. That means that you can use pillowtop mattresses in your Murphy Bed!

Other manufacturers of convertible beds have mechanisms that require expensive private-label bedding, foam mattress or substandard bedding. All costly additions to the price of your Murphy Bed kit.

Our Murphy Beds are easily moved, without permanent floor damage or holes in your carpeting.

Other manufacturers sell Murphy Bed kits that require floor mounting and complicated mechanism making it difficult to move your Murphy Bed when needed.
