My son-in-law and I took the Murphy bed components and had them together very easily in about 80 minutes with time for a Cola break. The instructions were simple and well illustrated. One thing the bed base is HEAVY so two people are required to complete the install. My wife loves it and we are excited to have our first guests use it.Overall Quality Aesthetics Functionality Shipping

I couldn't have been more surprised and relieved, frankly, with our murphy bed purchase. It terrified me to spend so much money on something sight-unseen, and with custom dimensions on top of it, and the whole process went flawlessly. This bed solved our guest room problem - we wanted a comfortable bed that didn't take up too much space when not in use. It is easy to put up and down and is very comfortable to sleep on - we know because we slept on it for a week while our master bedroom floor was redone. It was easy to install and looks great. The only problem we've had with it is the sharp corners when the bed is down - you need to watch your shins a bit when walking around it. Hello Old Creek - I completed the form but there were no questions about customer service. I just wanted to add that I was really pleased with the customer service (I wish I could remember the name of the woman I dealt with - she was terrific) - our beds were shipped to Miami for onward transport to the Cayman Islands and all of our requests for documentation were handled perfectly so the customs brokerage and shipping went very smoothly. Many companies immediately bristle when they find out that we need onward shipping and have overseas credit cards, but Old Creek said "no problem" and made the extra effort to do the necessary confirmations etc. to make sure that it wasn't.
We love our bed, and the other bed was for friends here in Cayman - they love theirs too.

Thank you for the great bed. I was impressed with the website - giving names of competitors. I began to work with the sales person and she worked hard to customize my order just the way I wanted it. The bed is very high quality and I would recommend this company to anyone. It was really just a gut instinct that gave me the confidence to make the purchase but I am glad I did. After owning the bed for two years, it has worked well for us, for the most part. It's easy to deploy and is comfortable. Having a fold-down bed makes the room a versatile multipurpose room. We had one problem with the bed that has plagued us though - the light safety switch that shuts the light off when you fold the bed up. It was poorly designed in that it screws into material that is not solid. I don't remember what it was but it was a Masonite type material where the screws pull out. I've repaired it several times but it continues to fail, most recently last week. A permanent repair probably means disassembling the bed from the wall and I've been reluctant to do that. If the light switch had worked properly, this would be an outstanding product.Overall Quality Aesthetics Functionality Shipping

When you placed your order, we were using a different type of switch for our lights. We have since swapped it out for a mercury switch, which has been much more reliable.
